The Kensington Off to a Fast Start

WHITE PLAINS, NEW YORK (January 2012) – The Kensington, a new enhanced assisted living and memory care residence in downtown White Plains, NY has announced that it is more than 50 percent occupied after four months.

Ms. Watson said one of the main reasons for The Kensington’s success is that as an enhanced assisted living residence it can offer licensed nursing care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, plus a full spectrum of clinical support including skilled care. As a result, residents do not need to relocate to another facility if their assisted living care needs change. “At The Kensington, you can truly age in place. Another important feature of The Kensington is its Memory Care program which provides care in two specially designed neighborhoods which are ideal for those with Alzheimer's or Dementia. Care managers and other staff at The Kensington are specially trained in caring for those with memory loss.  “The need for memory care services is growing as more and more of the senior population lives longer,” said Ms. Watson.
