The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society announces partnership with Orange Leaf Hyde Park & Team In Training

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 25, 2012 - The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Tri-State Chapter is pleased to announce an extensive partnership with our Team In Training program in Cincinnati and Orange Leaf Hyde Park,  as we prepare for the Flying Pig Marathon, here in Cincinnati on May 6, 2012.  Beginning January 21, Orange Leaf Hyde Park will open itself up as the southern training location and provide training shirts for the Team In Training members as they work over the three and one half months to prepare for the race.  Additionally, Orange Leaf Hyde Park will be sponsoring Team in Training’s Scream Team on race day.  The Scream Team is comprised of friends and family members who are positioned along the marathon route and encourage Team In Training participants, and all participants of the event, along their running or walking journey.

“We are pleased to find an organization whose philanthropic mission so closely matches ours,” said Dawn Berryman, Campaign Director, Team In Training.  “Orange Leaf’s sponsorship enables us to contribute more funding directly to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, whose mission to eradicate blood cancers has such a personal meaning for our runners.”

Rick Bailey, Orange Leaf Hyde Park Manager, continued, “We welcome the Team In Training runners.  Orange Leaf has always been an integral part of the communities it serves, and this partnership demonstrates our commitment to both the Cincinnati community and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.”  Matt Simmons and Greg Duncan, co-owners, agreed.  “It has always been our mission to help people choose healthy alternatives, and our partnership with Team In Training certainly brings that mission to life.”
