Across the UK, more specifically, the company experienced an unprecedented demand for its wireless solutions, partly due to the UK government’s pledge to deploy superfast broadband connectivity everywhere across the country, coupled with a significant increase in public safety deployments in the run-up to the London 2012 Olympics
Growth was further fuelled in Russia, the Middle East and Latin America by increased spend in next generation wireless broadband solutions from ISPs, mobile operators, service providers in the Oil & Gas sectors, as well as local governments looking to deploy robust video surveillance infrastructures to provide safer cities for their locals citizens and visitors from outside. Another notable area of growth in 2011 included the traffic management and transportation sectors.
Capitalising on economies of scales achieved over the past 3 years or so, InfiNet Wireless will be shortly announcing details of a new product range specifically designed to minimise the cost of deploying highly reliable wireless networks in these growth markets, along with a dedicated global partner programme offering technical training and enhanced channel support in these new growth markets.
Kamal Mokrani, Global VP Sales & Marketing for InfiNet Wireless commented: “Throughout 2011, we have continued to position ourselves competitively in the market and the results of our financial year clearly demonstrate that we are on the right tracks. We will continue to focus on developing strategic partnerships in key markets and strengthen our distribution network to support our growing product portfolio.”
During 2012, the company will be looking to develop a number of new channel alliances across the energy, transportation, public and private sector markets in order to serve an increasing demand for next generation wireless connectivity.
Talking about the company’s partner programme, Mokrani added: “A number of our key competitors have recently retracted from the market or dramatically altered their distribution models due to financial constraints. This has left a lot of uncertainty amongst their channel partners. We certainly see this situation as a golden opportunity to continue growing and remain 100% committed to maintaining our channel model and supporting our loyal partners. Our new channel programme will be aimed at attracting those partners who have been left feeling disenchanted by the recent moves of their traditional wireless vendors and who may now wish to embrace the InfiNet culture and portfolio”.
