Chicago, IL. - January 24, 2012 – You may recognize Illusionist Mike Super as NBC's Phenomenon Grand Prize Winner. He is headlining and filling concert halls across the country, while co-headlining with huge acts like Hall of Fame comedian Louie Anderson and American Idol Runner Up; Chris Daughty. This was Mike's second appearance with Steve Benz on WSDI Chicago, and they got along like long lost high school friends.
"Not only is Mike a great performer, he is a riot to talk to. He has a great sense of humor and can definitely take what I dished out," said radio host Steve Benz. "I'm excited to see his show and to find out if he really did get rid of his boy-band hair do. Bottom line, the audience is going to love his show."
Mike Super started his career in the Pittsburgh area, and credits his time at a local restaurant performing between the appetizers and main courses. Five minutes here, five minutes there, turned into his 2 hour act now. In fact, Super is Mike's real last name. That like most high schools, his last name keep him on his toes entertaining some of the students that would tease him.
"My life since winning Phenomenon has been exciting. I have traveled the world, got to meet great people, but will never forget the fans that show up for my shows. I do this for them. I have always insisted that I appear at a "Meet and Greet" after every performance. There is nothing better than meeting everyone that’s saw my performance. Plus, after the ribbing I took from Steve, I think we decided to start a new 21st Century Boy Band together. Obviously, Steve has to be in the back. I’ve seen him dance, said Pittsburgh Native, Illusionist Mike Super.
