FSCJ Flagler Fly-In Sunday, January 22, 2012
On Sunday, January 22, students, faculty, and staff at Florida State College in Jacksonville flew from Cecil Airport in Jacksonville to Flagler Airport in Palm Coast, Florida. At least 21 people participated including at least 8 separate aircraft. Sunrise Aviation, the exclusive flight training vendor for FSCJ, also participated in the outing.
Low visibility during the early morning hours in Jacksonville caused a few of the less experienced pilots to delay or cancel their participation or the number of participants would have been even higher. Those who did attend enjoyed lunch at "Highjackers"
FSCJ offers aviation programs for both future pilots and air traffic controllers and both groups participated in this outing.
