Andy McCumber Co-Presents Webinar on The Future of Arbitration Agreements in FL Long Term Care

Jan. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Andy McCumber, Managing Shareholder in the Tampa office of McCumber Daniels, co-presented a webinar with Beth Vecchioli of Carlton Fields titled, “The Future of Arbitration Agreements in Florida’s Long-Term Care Communities” to members of LeadingAge Florida (formally FAHSA).  

The webinar covered the recent opinions issued by the Florida Supreme Court on arbitration agreements in long-term care and provided an overview of the impacts these changes in arbitration law will have on long-term care facilities and the residents they serve.  Mr. McCumber also discussed the procedural and substantive rights of parties who agree to resolve future disputes by arbitration as provided by the Federal Arbitration Act (“FAA”) and the Florida Arbitration Code (“FAC”).  

Andrew R.
