Snell & Wilmer Partner Dan Wittenberg Accepted into Leadership Boulder County Program

Jan. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Dan Wittenberg, a partner in its Denver office, has been accepted into the Leadership Boulder County program.

Leadership Boulder County is an annual program facilitated by the Boulder Chamber designed to develop leaders who are informed, involved and concerned about the issues, challenges and initiatives affecting Boulder County. It provides participants with a broad view of civic leadership through direct contact with a variety of individuals and institutions that help shape the business, industrial, cultural and charitable communities. The program runs from January through June and accepts a new class each year.

The Boulder Chamber selects only 35 individuals to take part in the leadership program every year, choosing those whom they believe have the greatest potential to make an impact within the community. The participants form a powerful network and collectively work toward the betterment of the community through volunteerism and business initiatives. The program meets biweekly, and small groups devote additional hours each week toward working on their group projects, which are designed to meet the needs of a local nonprofit organization. This year, the program participants will be meeting with leaders in many fields, including criminal justice, the arts and business.

In his legal practice, Wittenberg represents medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and consumer product manufacturers in product liability litigation as well as counsels these companies on risk avoidance/management strategies, recalls and regulatory matters, including those involving the Food and Drug Administration and the Consumer Product Safety Commission. He has attained certification as a Global Regulatory Affairs Compliance Professional and has served as national counsel for major medical device manufacturing concerns and as regional counsel in mass tort cases. He also works with entities in technology transfer and intellectual property matters including university technology commercialization, litigation, licensing and agreement negotiations. Wittenberg also represents companies in commercial litigation. Representative clients include renewable/clean energy companies, such as a leading manufacturer of solar cells, panels, inverters and imaging detectors, as well as one of North America’s largest wind energy companies.
