On January 11th Carrentals.co.uk held its first ever ‘Book & Donate’ day and the event succeeded in raising more than £330 for StreetSmart. StreetSmart operates projects in partnership with homeless charities all over the country, in 19 UK cities. The charity raises funds to help run education, training, housing and health projects and is supported by celebrity figures Stephen Fry, Neil Morrissey and Richard Bacon.

All car hire bookings carried out via the Carrentals.co.uk website 25th January will help StreetSmart out to the tune of £1 per instance.”

Carrentals.co.uk has planned additional ‘Book & Donate’ days in the near future, including February 8th and 22nd, and March 7th and 21st.
Each November and December StreetSmart conducts its main charity drives and works with top UK restaurants to do so. Previous campaigns have featured Nobu, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, at which a pound was added on to each customer's bill to make a donation to StreetSmart.
