Moore Dessert Please to open bakery in Oakwood

Jan. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- OAKWOOD, Ohio, January 23, 2012 – A local online cupcake bakery and dessert shop, Moore Dessert Please!, plans to open a storefront in Oakwood by April, the bakery says.

Moore Dessert Please! signed their lease last week and will begin renovation at 1003 Shroyer Road, a space previously occupied by a professional photography service, 808 Studios.

For almost two years the Oakwood based bakery, headed by 22 year-old Brittany Moore and her mother, Tina, has been an online operation, filling individual orders and supplying events with their signature cupcakes, cake pops and other treats through internet inquiries.

“I’m beyond excited to have the opportunity of turning my lifelong dream into a reality,” Brittany said. “My mother and I share the passion of baking, and keeping it in the family is what we’re all about.”

The dessert shop has had opportunities to participate in Kettering’s “The Taste” last September, offer their cupcakes during the holidays at a Dayton Mall kiosk, and have been featured on Fox 45 in the morning.

Earlier this month Brittany spoke to an Oakwood Jr. High Home Ec class about the work that goes into baking every one of her cupcakes.
