MEDEPAGE A Healthcare Brand For Health Care

Whenever I get the opportunity to speak to healthcare organisations I always say, I believe that healthcare need its own strong brands. Brands that understand, believe in and respect healthcare, its idiosyncrasies and who speak its language.

Jan. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Whenever I get the opportunity to speak to healthcare organisations I always say, I believe that healthcare need its own strong brands. Brands that understand, believe in and respect healthcare, its idiosyncrasies and who speak its language. That’s why we founded MEDEDPAGE!

2011 was the inaugural year for our website MEDEPAGE.com and in building it, we have brought some original thinking to the healthcare environment. In essence MEDEPAGE is a hybrid website. It brings together many components found in a number of different, sites such as jobs boards, community, networking and social media. It’s an online global health care community that supports each other; people like Nurses, Doctors and Allied Healthcare professionals who can network with colleagues and friends, search, apply and record job applications and use social media tools. Employers can promote their organisations and post jobs, which helps us to create a free flow of job opportunities.

As we start a new year, I think it’s an appropriate time to reflect on our achievements for last year and to plan and set goals for the year ahead.

Although MEDEPAGE is only 6 months old, it has had an amazing 2011. In many ways it achieved far more than we expect and far sooner too. Particularly in terms of Members, Clients, jobs posted and features built plus traffic and ranking. In many ways we have to re-evaluate what it is we want to achieve this year because we had such a successful first 6 months.

Far from re-writing the book however, throughout 2012 we are going to keep true to our philosophy: To share knowledge, foster a fluid cost effect jobs market and to facilitate individual users to achieve personal goals.

From a website perspective this will mean continuing to focus on improving our current features and making them smarter. We will also be implementing multi-posting job tools to make it easier for our clients to post jobs. Most importantly though, we’ll maintain our pricing structure to help build a free flow of job opportunities. 2012 will also see us spreading our wings into new markets as we build our network on the success of 2011.

Soon MEDEPAGE will launch a new home page with an additional membership option “Email me Jobs”. This feature is a new membership option that won’t require the creation of a profile and will not accommodate any social media tools. Email me jobs will enable healthcare professionals to receive a customised report of the latest jobs on the MEDEPAGE website, that fits their specific criteria.

Although we are still only In January we have seen a huge upturn in the numbers of healthcare professionals registering, searching and applying for jobs. I’d encourage any healthcare employer of Nursing, Medical and Allied Healthcare professionals, like Physio’s, OT’s, Medical Imaging, General Practitioners, Medical Specialist, Sales for Medical Devices and/or Pharmaceutical and Administration staff, to register as a Client and start posting jobs on the MEDEPAGE website.
