Elementary Teacher Produces DVD Reading Program

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 21, 2012 - Lake Elsinore, CA, Saturday, January 21st:  Ready, Set, Read, Inc. announced the launch of the full, phonics-based reading program on DVD, now eliminating the need for a teacher or tutor. Anyone, child through adult, can learn how to read, from the beginning steps of letter recognition to a sixth grade reading level.

Vera Clark is a teacher at Elsinore Elementary School and has previously published a complete reading program, the Ready, Set, Read: Reading Program. In the Ready, Set, Read: DVD Lesson Series, author Vera Clark teaches 1) the names and sounds of all letters in the alphabet, 2) how to blend these sounds into words, and 3) each of the 100 lessons from the reading program. Ms. Clark is shown speaking, and each letter, word, or sentence she teaches is displayed, with built-in pauses allowing the learner time to repeat. Each DVD in the series contains ten lessons in addition to the lessons for learning the sounds of the letters and blending the sounds into words.

This program is unique in that it is complete, not requiring an additional teacher or tutor, and it is designed for children and adults. Students learn at their own pace in approximately 10 to 15 minutes per lesson. Perfect for remedial use as well as developing a confident reader.
