Celebrity Chef Joe "JJ" Johnson to Appear at Kids Food Festival NYC

Jan. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- NEW YORK - Have you always wanted to figure out how your children could lead a healthier lifestyle and better their eating habits? Join Joe “Chef JJ” Johnson this weekend at the Kids Food Festival NYC in effort to increase awareness of childhood obesity and learn ways to prevent it from happening.

“Kids are my inspiration,” says Chef JJ. “Some may feel that the effort to fight childhood obesity starts with the parents, but I believe it starts with the recipe. If I am able to provide families with healthy alternatives and recipes for them to use, then my job is complete.”

During the festival, Chef JJ will make a guest appearance on “Everybody Eats Lunch with The Creative Kitchen” Future Foodies Pavilion where he will have 1-on-1 interviews with the Kids Food Festival’s co-founders Cricket Azima and Nira Paliwoda.

Meet Chef JJ at the Kids Food Festival on January 21st and 22nd at Citi Pond at Bryant Part from 10am – 6pm. Enjoy child friendly activities while learning about balanced foods and lifestyle choices. General admission is free; however, tickets are required in order to view special programming. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Share Our Strength, a non-profit organization committed to ending childhood hunger in America.
