Engensa Offers Free Dual Energy Monitors to New Customers

From today, Engensa is offering a free energy consumption and generation monitoring service to any customer that buys and installs one of its Solar Systems by the end of March.

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 20, 2012 - From today, Engensa is offering a free energy consumption and generation monitoring service to any customer that buys and installs one of its Solar Systems by the end of March. The Locus energy monitor, worth £600 (incl. installation), will allow all of Engensa’s new customers to accurately monitor their energy production and usage in a web based format.

The Energy Savings Trust estimates that a typical household can save anything between 5-15% on their annual electricity bills by investing in a standard energy consumption monitor alone. With the more sophisticated Locus dual monitoring system owners can time energy consumption to match peak generation times from solar panels and significantly increase savings.

Dr Toby Ferenczi, Chief Technology Officer at Engensa said: “It’s extremely encouraging that more than 160,000 homeowners have already installed solar panels in the UK but now they can go one step further. In order to benefit fully from solar panels, homeowners need to monitor the output of their panels as well as their energy consumption. This allows homeowners to use every opportunity to match the two and therefore maximise their savings.”

This energy saving scheme of Engensa, called Solar Health, is the company’s newest initiative in its quest to make Britain a greener place. To benefit from the offer, new customers must quote SOLARHEALTH in their enquiry to ensure that they have their dual energy monitor installed at the same time as their solar panels, at no extra cost.

Due to the new lower Feed-in Tariff, Engensa has had to cut its costs across the board, so that it can still offer customers inflation beating, index linked returns of above 8%. This means that they can only offer free Locus energy monitors for a short period of time, until March 2012.

“Our new Solar Health scheme has been introduced to help our customers to see a real difference in their bills. And when we say that they will receive a free dual monitor, we don’t mean that we hide the cost in our quote, or sign them up to an expensive tariff so they pay for it that way. All we ask is that the customer completes our survey once their system is installed, and tell us what difference the monitor did or didn’t make to how their energy consumption,” continued Dr. Ferenczi.
