“Our goal is to get ten to 15 new athletes for our program this year,” explains Florida Eels sled hockey (http://www.floridasledhockey.com) coach Ron Robichaud, who first brought sled hockey to Florida two years ago with programs in Fort Myers, Rockledge, Fort Lauderdale, and Tampa. “Our players don’t just learn to play hockey, they also learn teamwork and life skills, develop stronger self-esteem, and respect for others.”
Attendees are asked to wear warm clothing (jeans and sweatshirts)
The clinic is sponsored by Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida (http://www.goodwillswfl.org) and the City of Fort Myers Skatium.
