2012’s first quarter in music is here and Houston’s entertainment industry is on pace for a successful year! Entertainment Mogul Mark Anthony of Mark Anthony Events has been setting the bar for elite events in the city for over 15 years and is constantly topping himself. This year he will launch the 3rd Annual “I Am The Headliner Concert A&R Series”.
The concert series will exclusively represent the best of the best among independent artists and will provide a platform for them to display their talents directly to music industry executives and celebrity guests.  Many will seek the opportunity to participate; However, only the well prepared artists with a functional EPK, Website, Facebook/Twitter or Reverbnation page will receive consideration for performance.  There will be a concert held each month for 12 months that will feature the initial registrants and will add new additions as the series progresses. The following dates have been confirmed at the Jet Lounge which is located at 1515 Pease Street, Houston, TX: February 25, March 28, and April 24.

There will be A&R representatives from the hottest urban labels both independent and major who will have a hand in determining who will make the cut. The winners will receive prizes ranging from $250 to $2500 cash, CD’s pressed, a professional music video or a digital distribution record deal.  This will be a tough competition that will ultimately separate the stars from the amateurs!
