Titan Communications Reports 2011 a Banner Year and positioned for further growth in 2012

Jan. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Titan Communications Inc, Canada's largest wholesale digital phone company today announced robust growth in 2011 with subscriber volume increasing 26% over the previous year reflecting a growing demand from service providers to add voice services to their lineup. Titan also increased the number of wholesale partners over the period by fifteen setting the stage for further growth in 2012.

Titan’s subscriber growth reflects the trend for end customers to switch away from traditional telecom carriers towards regional and local service providers. By leveraging Titan’s wholesale telecom services, local Internet and cable providers are now able to offer phone service at cost and service levels that Tier One carriers can’t compete with.

New services such as "TPhone" mobile wireless calling played a role in the acquisition of new partners. TPhone allows partners to include a mobile service with their existing product offering while helping their customers dramatically reduce the exorbitant fees traditionally paid to cellular phone companies for long distance and roaming charges.

'TPhone' mobile wireless calling is positioned to leverage the trend for consumers to change their calling habits away from cellular minutes and towards mobile wireless calling that, according to a recent Juniper Research study "We forecast that mobile VoIP over Wi-Fi will cost operators $5 billion globally by 2015.”
