Connecticut Entrepreneur Competes on ABC’s Reality Show, Shark Tank for Business Financing

HAMDEN, CT- January 19,2012–David Greco, a local Connecticut businessman, becomes one of the newest contenders for ABC’s reality series, Shark Tank.  The show, based on the extremely popular Japanese show, Dragon’s Den, features a panel of five wealthy entrepreneurs called “Sharks”.  The panel evaluates and negotiates investment proposals from up-and-coming entrepreneurs like Greco.  

Greco caught the attention of the producers from over 30,000 applicants, during their nationwide search to discover the next successful entrepreneur.  Greco pitched his idea for The SalesPreneur, his firm that specializes in transforming a mediocre sales team into a top-performing sales force.

“I’m an expert sales professional,” says Greco.  “I can sell anything to anyone, and over the years, I’ve developed a unique system that can teach any sales rep in any industry how to exponentially increase the number of closed deals.”  

Greco competes with 23 other budding entrepreneurs for a chance at convincing self-made tycoons like Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Kevin O’Leary, Barbara Corcoran and Daymond John to give them the funding they need to jumpstart their business ideas.  In exchange for the Shark’s investment dollars, the contestants give up a percentage of their company’s equity.
