Largest Agro-Industrial Food organisation in Thailand awarded ISO/IEC 27001 certification

Jan. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Bangkok, 18th January 2012 – BSI Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has recently awarded the CPF IT Center; with the internationally recognised standard for Information Security Management System – the ISO / IEC 27001:2005.

With the recent certification ceremony in December 2011; the CPF IT Center now joins a growing list of organisations in Bangkok that are keen to showcase their commitment to maintain a strict information security control framework within their workplace environment. As a subsidiary company of Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL, the CPF IT Center has been charged with the critical role to respond to all other subsidiaries on both Software and Hardware IT operations. The company recognises the need for such a certification and acknowledges that ISO27001:2005 will indeed help to ensure appropriate safety controls to securely protect information and intellectual property. Whilst the ISO/IEC 27001 standard in general represents the best practices of Information Security Management techniques; the certification of ISO/IEC 27001:2005 awarded to CPF IT Center solely focuses on IT Security best practices.
