GirlsGoneDIY’s online community is a new online neighborhood, that house’s individually skilled Girls, in the DIY world to accomplish work relative to the handyman. It has taken the word “handyman” to a new level. Members are empowered to complete projects relative to laying tile, painting walls, creating furniture, building walls and more. In addition they share their skills with other Girls, who may want to learn how to place that backsplash, or finish that deck. Locally, GGDIY (Girls Gone DIY) will take Atlanta by storm, with its strong membership base.

Girls Gone DIY is driven by the Girl who wants to get it done, and in the time frame specified. Girls Gone DIY is excited to become an empowerment bank for Girls in Atlanta, to assist in getting the job done. Although new to the field, Girls Gone DIY is expected to create a membership base of a million, within a year.

“WE ARE THRILLED to say that this is not only an opportunity for female independence, but the raise in a family’s income. Yes, defeating the economy, and keeping money in the Girls pockets. This is accomplished by empowering the Girls, to be able to fix it, create it, and build it on their own, without the hiring of outside labor. Studies have shown that the average Do It Yourselfer saves an average of $20,000, in Do It Yourself projects, because they only purchase the products.

Lisa Smith, President and CEO Leader of the Girls Gone DIY online community, set forth to accomplish a mission, by bringing individually skilled and eager to learn Girls together to create good looking communities, within their communities, and empowering them to get it done.

Girls Gone DIY is a female based network that works as a directory. The directory includes Girls who want to Do It Themselves. They can log on and find other ladies in their area, who are skilled for a particular project they need assistance with.  This should create a circle of a minimum of 2-8 ladies, to assist each one with a different project if applicable, to accumulate a resume of skill set, and become empowered. The requirements are simple, as it is gender specific, so you must be a Girl, own a home (this will give the Girls the opportunity to freely do projects) and be able to assist other Girls, with their projects. Members are also able to communicate in the forum, where ideas are shared, and questions are posted about specific projects they may be working on, or are willing to work on. Girls can list their projects online with details of their work, either by video or project sheets, provided on the site @ www.girlsgonediy.com.
