Exalt Academy of Cosmetology will set up shop at 123 So Chestnut St, a building that has been a source of tremendous success for many years because of the long-established ‘A Cut Above Salon & Spa’
Now, instead it will be a place for students to learn the finer points of styling and coloring hair, doing skin treatments, giving manicures and learning how to run a salon.

The building will also house a retail store selling Milkshake, Kenra, and many other beauty products and services. Exalt Academy are well-known in the industry, with a location at exit 7 in Bristol.
The school, which will be the first for Exalt Academy in Marion, is expected to open in January.
It will be owned by Rebekah Reynolds, a 36-year-old native from Kingsport Tennessee who grew up in Blountville TN. Rebekah owns another Exalt Academy in Bristol VA. During her career he has worked with some of the giants in the industry, including Regis, Trade Secrets and Beauty Warehouse.
“We decided to bring the Harvard and Yale of beauty schools” to Marion, an excited Reynolds told several dozen people gathered at the Bristol campus this morning for the announcement.
All told, the school will occupy nearly 4,000 square feet, employ 5 people and draw more than 100 students and customers daily.
