“I'd like to personally welcome you to the new Charlotte Bistro,” says Villarroel. “We are so excited to be open again in this wonderful neighborhood and we'd love for you to stop by and enjoy our new menu. We'll be coming up with fun, creative dishes and changing the menu every week so there will always be new flavors and experiences for our guests!”
Must-try small plates ($4-$14) include tender lamb croquettes with a fresh mint sauce, crab risotto, where sweet, fresh lump crabmeat melds with a truffle emulsion, succulent escargot, served in the old-fashioned way with garlic & parsley, perfectly crisp yet meltingly tender duck confit and crispy fried rabbit with mashed potatoes and red-eye gravy. Meatless selections abound with a fresh eggplant timbale, savory artichoke gratin and a vibrant green olive and basil soup, amongst many other offerings.
Larger plates ($14-$34), meant to be shared and enjoyed with family and friends, include ocean-fresh, locally caught fish of the day, a NY Strip Steak with blue cheese butter (sure to become a signature dish!) and for veggie-lovers, a fresh vegetable paella, showcasing seasonal veggies at their peak. A selection of freshly-made sides ($3.50) round out the menu with plump and tender Israeli couscous, aromatic vanilla-carrot puree and luscious French lentils.
Desserts include Chef Elida's signature chocolate soup, a decadent treat for chocolate lovers, Quesillo Criollo, a rich custard that melts in your mouth, delicious house-made fresh ice creams, including comfort food classic, caramel bananas.
