London's businesses are bucking the economic downturn

A young London company has established a presence in Germany, creating a unique market for it's professional services.

Jan. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Downturn! What downturn!  This small company is bringing in the money from Europe.

A young London company is successfully putting down roots internationally by carving out a niche in Germany with a professional service that helps firms to penetrate the UK market and increase sales revenue.

There was no planning behind this, but there was an “aha” moment when the firm, Xpert Business Development,  realised it had one of the most respected German companies on its books, another about to sign up, and yet another multi-million pound corporate making enquiries.

The UK firm had been “found” on the internet in all three instances, but they are now actively targeting this geographical area.

The firm’s brief is to help businesses grow by setting up face-to-face meetings for them with decision makers of companies who are ready to talk business.

“We’ve no intention of abandoning our existing UK client base, but we have to go where the money is, and Germany is a lucrative market,” said Jackie Paige who founded Xpert Business Development three years ago, following a career as a reporter and researcher.

“It’s made all the easier because language isn’t a barrier since the Germans have such good English.”

In a crowded market, Xpert Business Development has distinguished itself, by incorporating proven reporting and research techniques into its service offerings.

“This ultimately translates into a greater return on investment for our clients,” said Jackie.

“This is because before we ever pick up the phone, we would have used multiple methods to find out useful information about the company, the decision maker we are about to call, and built up a good picture of their corporate culture, needs, preferences, etc.”

The firm’s internationalisation is continuing.  They have met with a Chinese conglomerate looking for assistance in entering the UK market.

This attention from overseas, is proof that regardless of size, or what product or service is being offered, it’s possible to carve out a piece of the market – at home or abroad.
