The five-track EP will be made available on 12” vinyl and for download on 30 January 2012.
The title track of the EP is a homage to The Smiths’ This Charming Man, fusing Hindi vocals and Maggie8’s distinctive indie folk sound with the bassline and guitar themes of the original Morrissey and Marr track.

The title track has already received airplay on the Gideon Coe show on BBC Radio 6Music and was listed as a ‘Hot One’ by John Kennedy on XFM.
The ‘This Charming Lady’ EP will be released by Total Confidence Records, in conjunction with the Leeds label Dance To The Radio.
All five tracks are available for download from Bandcamp.
Maggie8 will perform ‘This Charming Lady’ at Mozfest in Leeds on 11 February. The “anti-Valentine's night out” takes place at the Library pub in Leeds and will feature bands performing covers of Smiths and Morrissey songs. Confirmed acts include The Wednesday Salford Lads Club, The Seven Inches and Maggie8.
