Follow on Google News | New Individual GAPRA Membership Available to Prevent Bullying Among ChildrenNow, parents, counselors, educators and other youth workers can join the Global Alliance for Preventing Relational Aggression (GAPRA) to receive affordable, effective training to help children manage bullying and relationship problems.
By: Blair Wagner In order to introduce this new membership option, GAPRA is hosting a free informational teleclass, “GAPRA Membership for Individuals: “Children need to develop good social skills to get through bullying situations. Through GAPRA’s training, adults can help them develop those proactive skills, such as the specific speak-up strategies that can quickly defuse emotional bullying when it occurs,” said Jane Balvanz, a school counselor for grades K-6 and co-founder of GAPRA. “By teaching all children these skills, we aim to prevent the emotional damage bullying can cause.” Annual membership in GAPRA offers affordable RA prevention training sessions for everyone, including parents and educators as well as schools and youth organizations. All training calls are recorded so members can listen at their convenience. Membership also includes a GAPRA binder, RA prevention tips, calls with faculty experts, an audio download and a discount on products. “If you think there’s nothing you can do about bullying, we want you to think again. We can teach our children to identify emotional bullying and do something about it, and now, everyone has access to this specialized training,” said Blair Wagner, GAPRA co-founder. “We had a lot of requests for affordable individual membership, and we look forward to sharing these effective strategies with many more people.” # # # A Way Through, LLC, provides hope and help for Targets, Bullies and Bystanders of emotional bullying through the When Girls Hurt Girls® program and the Global Alliance for Preventing Relational Aggression (GAPRA). http://www.gapraconnect.com End
