PRLog - Jan. 18, 2012 - ROYAL OAK, Mich. -- DETROIT, January 17, 2012– iGoal® soccer goals, manufactured by Air Structures International (ASI), and featuring the unique Rigid Air Technology™, were demonstrated on December 28, 2011, at the Oakland Yard Christmas Classic Tournament at Oakland Yard Athletics, in Waterford, Mich. The tournament hosted 96 youth teams from U8 to high school level (U19).
iGoal Winners Bob and Jennifer Hood
iGoal is an inflatable soccer goal that is focused upon the safety of youth soccer players. It is light-weight, durable, portable, quick to use – inflating in seconds – and suitable for recreational or match play.
The December 28 Christmas Classic Tournament demonstration featured three iGoal models – the 6x4 Mini, 8x5 Home and 12x6 Junior. Other sizes available include the 16x7 Intermediate, 21x7 Youth and 24x8 Adult. iGoal also offers a special Futsal model, and a Street model featuring the 6x4 Mini packaged in a backpack for easy transport by players for pick-up games.
At the tournament, Oakland Yard owner Marty Greenspan used Home and Junior models in the tournament warm-up area; allowing all 96 teams, representing more that 40 soccer clubs and high schools, to experience and evaluate iGoal in action. In the exhibit area, ongoing demonstrations were held to highlight iGoal easy inflation and deflation, and overall ease of use. A drawing was held for an iGoal Mini model.
The winner of the iGoal Mini was Bob Hood, of Wixom, Mich.
Bob’s daughter, Jennifer, plays for the Michigan Jaguars of Novi, Mich. She had this to say upon learning that her father had one the iGoal Mini, “I can’t wait to use my new goal in my backyard with my friends.”
Two iGoal Club Trials resulted from the event, allowing teams to evaluate iGoal in winter training sessions throughout the month of January.
In August 2011, iGoal made its debut in the U.S., with a tour throughout California that included stops at the MLS Cup Champion LA Galaxy and demonstrations for the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO).
Additional metro Detroit events are planned for January and February. For information and details about iGoal models, contact Gavin Whelan, ASI Business Development Manager at: gavin.whelan@
