McGladrey Welcomes Kevin Burton as Consulting Manager – Information Technology Solutions

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 17, 2012 - PHOENIX – (January 12, 2011) – McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, which operates under the McGladrey brand as  the nation’s fifth largest provider of assurance, tax and consulting services, recently named Kevin Burton as consulting manager – information technology solutions group.

In his new role, Burton will be responsible for the firm’s west region business continuity and disaster recovery practice. He will be based in Phoenix.

Burton has more than 18 years of experience serving small businesses and G10 multinational organizations across the business continuity/disaster recovery service spectrum, where he has delivered complete program solutions from start to finish.

“Kevin’s experience has given him a deep understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery needs of growing organizations – from owner-managed businesses to public companies and national nonprofits,” said Patti Walker, technology service director for McGladrey. “We are excited to welcome Kevin to the team, and look forward to sharing his knowledge with our clients.”

Prior to joining McGladrey, Burton served as senior consultant for a large business continuity and disaster recovery firm, where he had responsibilities in e-commerce and complex architectures across the U.S. Burton has also been an active thought leader in the emergency management and counter-terrorism space, and has written multiple state-wide continuity of government and pandemic flu plans.

Burton is author of Managing Emerging Risk, a Capstone Study for CRC Press, and has authored multiple peer-reviewed and published articles in numerous industry journals regarding business continuity, disaster recovery and emergency management in health care.
