Follow on Google News | LFS Appoints North Carolina Executive DirectorLutheran Family Services in the Carolinas (LFS) has appointed Jeffrey DeMagistris executive director of its North Carolina operations.
By: Mary Ann Johnson DeMagistris, a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, has a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina (UNC). He has more than 16 years of experience in the field of mental health and has served LFS for the last five years as director of the Assertive Community Treatment Team. DeMagistris is also a field instructor for the UNC School of Social Work. “Jeffrey has a wealth of experience in mental health services and has an in-depth understanding of the North Carolina system of care for adults and children,” said LFS Chief Operating Officer Myra Griffie. “His reputation and relationships in the community are very strong with providers, legislators, and contractors.” Of his appointment he states, “I am very excited about the future of LFS. I am looking forward to the further development of the LFS and Lutheran Services for the Aging affiliation and the great things to come there.” Originally from Gloversville, NY, DeMagistris resides in Chapel Hill. LFS is an affiliate of Salisbury-based Lutheran Services for the Aging providing foster care, adoption, veteran, refugee, and mental health services to families across North and South Carolina. End
