Jan. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Joey Shaheen is a touring singer/songwriter from Minneapolis escaping the brutal cold via his: "Sled-Dog-Slushy" tour. His band: The Wrong Omar have played throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. Melodic and hook oriented songs range from smooth folk rock to indie quirk with some easy listening blue-grass-a-billy thrown in as well. The Wrong Omar has a strong presence in their base.

Joey is touring solo, opening the show on the piano with some smooth easy listening pop, then on to guitar for some folk rock with blues harp. Then he engages a looping device where he creates a full band mix in real-time using bass guitar, keyboards and percussion. He closes the show with some foot-stomping music.

The review from the Twin Cities Daily Planet is a good summary of what you will come away with: "...It's beautiful with a strong, pointed chorus that compels with engaging urgency....when it hits, it's dead-on, brilliantly inspired....Excellent songwriting. Warm, wry melodies over bright, moody chords...."
