Jan. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- They are consulting with Major Mark Morgan, an educator at the Carson Long Military Academy and World War II expert. Major Morgan teaches WWII history and has lent his expertise in the planning and plotting of “Tailgunner”.

When Ann Frommer had questions relating to the war, she contacted Matthew Smith in the Development Office of Carson Long Military Academy. Mr. Smith introduced her to Major Mark Morgan, the VP of Internal Operations and WWII Educator in World War II history at the Military Academy.

“I was so impressed by Major Morgan’s knowledge of WWII, that I offered him my most challenging questions, “ said Ann, “ and his knowledge was so extensive that I feel we have an excellent resource for our novel.”

Ann went on to say that Carson Long Military Academy played a big part of her life for many years, because, as a single working parent, she wanted a school that would give her sons more than an education, one that would create a role model and help mold them for their future. “I found that this exceptional school was always there for my boys and me whenever we needed it.”

Sometimes we have to look behind the scenes for understanding of the hard work and time consuming effort involved to write a historical novel. Although the story may be fiction; time-lines, locations, significant actions and characters must be substantiated for accuracy. This requires numerous hours of research; going through web sites, library resources, book stores and interviewing experts. Often, this can create problems with the most conservative of deadlines. Ann and Vic review the work and timeline often to insure they don’t stray too far from the target end date.

Major movie studios use a large team of writers to keep narration and dialog on track and on time. However, even an “A List” actor and producer like Tom Hanks ran into scheduling problems on the filming of “Saving Private Ryan” http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120815 . Consulting with Steven Spielberg, he decided to bivouac his pampered ensemble of actors right on location instead of a luxury hotel to meet the production company’s deadline. It worked.
