Kenya Redd Angel Edwards is the Chief Strategy Officer of Amped for a Cure, a non-profit organization that promotes awareness and raises money for cancer research through the Vehicle of Music.  Her commitment to philanthropy has driven her to propel her career from Redd Angel Radio to initiating Painting the Town Redd, her Redd Angel Initiative for 2011-2012, where she will participate in local & national community events, network with community & business community leaders, and network with other non-profit organizations locally & nationally.

Redd Angel with Fashion Uncorked

On February 11, 2012, Redd Angel will reside as the official Fashion Show Director of Fashion Uncorked, Atlanta’s first Project-Runway style, eco-friendly design competition that will benefit the Easter Seals North Georgia.  Held at the Gwinnett Environment and Heritage Center and sponsored by Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, this chic night will be filled with high fashion, delicious food, great entertainment, and a fashionable silent auction.  Musical performances will be given by chart-rising artist Lou Battle.  This Project Runway-style design competition consists of ten designers who will battle it out through designing & sketching 3 original pieces: women’s wear, evening wear, and children’s wear with a matching teddy bear sketch.  The designers will then randomly select a piece of jewelry from VivaKita to assemble their designs.  The top ten designers selected on December 7, 2011 will then be showcased during the night of Fashion Uncorked in February 2012.

Redd Angel is excited to be named the official Fashion Show Director of Fashion Uncorked, which will benefit the Easter Seals North Georgia.  True to her enthusiasm and dedication to philanthropy, Redd Angel is ecstatic to be taking part of this amazing event.  Easter Seals is the nation’s leading provider of services for children and adults with Autism and its therapists and teachers provide services to more than 3,000 children every day.  It is also currently listed as one of the top 100 charities out of 819,000 charities to be supported by Worth Magazine.
