High Energy Inspirational Speaker Delivers Black History Month Programs

Jan. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- History plays an important role in the society of every country in the world and in America, it's diversity makes it one of the most powerful countries in the world. African American's and others celebrate Black History to recognize the contributions made to America in February which is Black History Month.

"Black History Month will be in full swing in 2012 and I will be delivering speeches and programs on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, Rosa Parks and others," state Paul Lawrence Vann. Even though African people were brought to America as slaves, a lot of progress has been made and it goes to show you just how far the United States and black people have come over the centuries.

Vann states, "Recognizing the contributions of all people is important, especially   people who persevered through slavery and a major role in the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which was a landmark piece of legislation in the United States."

The Civil Rights Act outlawed major forms of discrimination against African Americans and women, including racial segregation. It ended unequal application of voter registration requirements and racial segregation in schools, at the workplace and by facilities that served the general public (public accommodations), in1964 and 1965 had legislation passed giving them the right to vote.

Paul Lawrence Vann has been delivering Black History Month speeches and programs for several years. He delivers programs in churches, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, military and educational institutions and corporations.
