Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Golden Gate Chapter is celebrating their 14th Annual Apprentice Graduation and 2012 Board Installation with a ceremony and Fiesta on Friday, January 13, 2012 in Livermore. During the ceremony, ABC Golden Gate Chapter will honor 35 students who have completed the program. “This is an exciting opportunity to honor the dedication and recognize the achievements of our apprentices. They have worked for several years toward the goal of becoming a journeyperson, and now is the time to celebrate.” said Toby Cummings, CAE, President/CSO of ABC Golden Gate Chapter.
ABC Golden Gate Chapter is the sponsor of five State of California approved apprenticeship programs, electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing and construction craft laborers. Each apprenticeship program is also registered with the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship. Apprenticeship is an occupational training model that combines on the job experience with classroom instruction. Apprentices earn while they learn under the direction of a skilled journey level trainer.
Several elected officials will also be in attendance to lend their support of the Apprentices and ABC Golden Gate Chapter’s program:
