Actor Dean Mauro saddles up for a Virtuous ride. By Robert H. Gwinn

Jan. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- New York native and motorcycle rider Dean Mauro joins the cast of Robert H. Gwinn’s Virtue. The new genre film centers on a group of teens heading out to a local lake to celebrate graduation day, but on the way to the secluded spot they have a bit of a run in with a band of bikers. Dean has been an avid biker most of his life, and is thrilled to have the chance to ride on screen. “I got my first Bike when I was about 8 years old. Well, actually my older brother got it and we shared it. It was a Honda 50cc.” In Virtue, Mauro will be playing bike gang member Bob Garrison, right hand man to the group’s leader Johnny (Duke) Dukane played by DJ Perry.

Dean has spent the last several years as an actor in LasVegas playing the stage version of Tony Soprano in The Soprano’s Last Supper, and acting on film in indie productions Bubblegum and Broken Fingers and The Longest Day. Though Mauro has played a variety of gangster and mob roles he says he is eager to play this kind of character for a change. “.I'm stoked to be playing Bob in this upcoming film. I take my acting seriously and always prepare for the characters I portray. but I got a feeling this one is gonna come a little easier than others.”

This also won’t be the first time Dean Mauro and Virtue’s writer and director Robert H. Gwinn have worked together either. In 2009 Mauro costarred in Gwinn’s directorial debut Deadly Renovations, due in theaters worldwide this year. (2012) In fact several members of that films cast are reteaming for Virtue including DJ Perry, Nathalie Ben-Kely, Tracilyn Jones, Anthony Hornus, and Hollywood legend, Lana Wood.
