Military Base Signs Distribution Agreement With LoopRope®, LLC of Medford, Oregon

Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona will start carrying LoopRopes®: Bungee alternative to be featured at Marine West show at Camp Pendleton February 1-2, 2012

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 11, 2012 - YUMA, Ariz. – LoopRope®, the 2009 invention that is sweeping the outdoor and boating worlds, is making its way onto the military scene.  Racks of the product were shipped this fall to the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona.  And now, LoopRope® inventor Jeff Dahl has just received notice that they will have a booth at the Marine West show at Camp Pendleton in Oregon this coming February.

“What a neat piece of equipment!” enthuses the National Sales Manager of Marine Military Expos.  The Marine West Show has an average of 3800 attendees, the majority being active duty Marines from Pendelton, Miramar and the surrounding areas.  The shows are very unique in that they are held on base so that the participants are able to interact with the highest number of Marines in the area.

The LoopRope® can be used by Marines to strap duffel bags, firearms, bedrolls, and tents to ATV racks and truck beds.  LoopRope® is a revolutionary tie-down system that eliminates the daily use of dangerous and limiting bungee cords, overkill cargo nets, and most other light to medium duty tie downs. It was invented through trial and error after Dahl became frustrated with tightly knotted ropes and flimsy bungee cords during a trip to the dump.

Initial permutations included lengths of rope with hitch knots using plastic zip-ties to create the tensions he needed, which worked but not the way he wanted.  "The zip-ties failed and sewing shock cord together proved to damage the cord,” he said.  Trial and error led Dahl to forming permanent loops in shock cord by crimping aluminum ferrules and covering those with a plastic heat shrink.  His invention went patent-pending the latter part of 2009 and has been picked up by many American retail giants such as Wal-Mart, Amazon, Costco, and Camping World, and by retailers overseas in Ireland, Australia, and Japan.
