Jan. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- OAKLAND, Calif. – Solio will kick off its 10 year anniversary as leader of the hand-held battery packs and solar chargers market this week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Founded in 2002 under the guidance of lead designer and product architect, London-based Dave Fowler, the brand’s founding principles and strategic staff will attend this year’s CES on the heels of recent product launches and future releases. Fowler’s contribution to the brand’s identity and his dedication to creating life-enhancing products for everyday use has funneled interest to the Oakland-based company and created a feverish following.

“After a decade in business and countless successes and progressions, it will be wonderful to celebrate our ten year anniversary beginning with our attendance this week at CES. We’re looking to uncover some amazing new products that will work in conjunction with Solio’s solar chargers along with helping to spread the word about our newest innovations,” Fowler said.

Fowler and his design team have been working on two new products that will launch this April and May; one is a new incarnation of the Solio Classic (a founding product for the company) and the other a unit designed for larger scale solar charging in all-weather conditions.

Earlier this year, Solio released its new BOLT, a powerhouse solar charger that has garnered critical praise from diverse publications like WIRED, Outside Magazine, and the Associated Press. The BOLT marked Solio’s move away from auxiliary tips and adapters, working exclusively from the charging-device’s native USB cord. With an on-board battery and rotating solar panels, the Solio BOLT charges thousands of popular USB powered gadgets like smartphones, MP3 players, headlamps, GPS units, cameras, and more.

The newest release from Solio helps light up your adventures in the outdoors, serves as an addition to your emergency preparedness kit, or as a light source for any off-grid activities. Called the CLIP-MINI, it represents the first in a series of rechargeable lighting products from Solio. The CLIP-MINI allows users to harness the clean energy of the sun (or, optionally, the wall), to keep light burning all through the night without environmentally hazardous and wasteful disposable batteries.

The Solio CLIP-MINI is now available for pre-order at www.solio.com, and will begin shipping to customers on February 15th, 2012. Solio will report live from CES with daily social media updates on its Facebook and Twitter pages.
