Follow on Google News | Dr. James Kaszuba Directs Initial Patient Care at University of IL at Chicago College of DentistryThe University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Dentistry has turned to an experienced faculty member in Dr. James Kaszuba for the key role of Director of Initial Patient Care.
By: UIC College of Dentistry In his new role, Dr. Kasuzba’s responsibilities “are directly related to the management and supervision of all aspects of initial patient screening and urgent care treatment at the College,” he said. “My primary responsibility— Dr. Kaszuba hopes to streamline the screening and urgent care processes to simulate a private practice model, “to insure timely and compassionate patient-centered care and act as a source for patient advocacy,” he said. “I also strive to serve our students as a source of clinical education for screening, policy, and procurement of initial diagnostic material,” Dr. Kaszuba noted. He already has re-instituted the faculty Continuing Education program, “to stimulate sharing of information to adapt to the constant evolution of change, not only in curriculum but in evidence-based patient care,” Dr. Kaszuba said. Dr. Kaszuba continues to maintain his private dental practice in Munster, IN, where he has worked for the last 30 years. # # # The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry offers the DMD dental degree and various dental specialty degrees, and provides oral healthcare to patients.The College is located at 801 S. Paulina St. in Chicago. More than 320 students are in the DMD Program and International Dentist Degree Program. Specialty programs are offered in Orthodontics, Endodontics, Restorative Dentistry, Periodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, with 80 postgraduate students enrolled across these programs.
