Jan. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- World Vets has officially opened its first year-round International Training Center.  Located in Granada, Nicaragua, the Latin America Veterinary Training Center will train over 500 Latin American veterinarians in 2012.  In addition to Latin American veterinarians, the training center will also see 160 U.S. veterinary students this summer as part of the International Veterinary Medicine program offered by World Vets.

“Our primary goal is to help Latin American veterinarians gain surgical experience in an environment of high quality, one on one instruction.” Said Dr. Cathy King, Founder and CEO of World Vets. “Equally important is providing excellent patient care for the thousands of community animals that will benefit from the services provided.”

The clinic is equipped with the latest technology to help provide high quality patient care and will provide free spay/neuter surgeries for the thousands of street dogs in the area.  Heska, VSSI and Dentalaire made donations to support this cause.  “The Latin American Training Center is a huge step for World Vets,” said Kyle Baird, VP of International Operations, “and we appreciate the support we received from the veterinary corporate community.”  The entire project is generously supported by the Fondation Brigitte Bardot.
