The list of local and national solicitors is compiled so people can make an informed choice when choosing a solicitor, with the ultimate aim of improving life after brain injury.
To secure a place in the list, law firms have to adhere to a strict Code of Conduct that assures clients their best interests will always be served.
An essential part of the accreditation is that the firm can demonstrate it is able to recognise users often coping with extremely distressing circumstances and provide them with the respect and sensitivity required.
Also part of the requirement is that the firm provides a free initial consultation to answer any questions clients or their carers may have.
Each year in the UK, around 130,000 people suffer a brain injury. Around 17% will be a severe brain injury and half of those will have been sustained as a result of a road accident.
