Jan. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- University of Houston Business Students Jason Cutbirth and Mike Morrissey founded Campus Calendar Girls in early December while studying for finals.  Eager to start a business before graduating, the two sponsored a competition via Facebook for girls at the university interested in modeling for a 2012 calendar.  Over 70 girls entered the completion the first week.  The Facebook page’s rapid growth soon captured the attention of the Houston Nightlife Scene, along with over 34,000 unique visitors.  Within weeks, the two raised enough advertising revenue to cover the operating expenses of the business, effectively creating something out of nothing.

The calendars will be sold online and on campus.  Online sales begin January 14th through the Facebook Page (2012 Cougar Calendar Girls) and on campus sales begin the first day of school, January 17th.  Campus Calendar Girls will share its profits with the models featured in the calendar, photographer Caroline Sam, The Wounded Warrior Project, and The Brest Cancer Research Foundation.

The story of Campus Calendar Girls is a reminder that you do not need a college degree to create a business.  Following the release of the initial 2012 Calendar, Campus Calendar Girls plans to expand the business to different universities across the country by licensing the rights to other ambitious students looking for an opportunity.  Show your support by visiting our Facebook page and ordering a calendar: 2012 Cougar Calendar Girls.

Thanks!
