Shri Yamunotri Dham

Yamunotri is being believed to be the lap of river Yamuna and of course the source of this sacred river. You can find the Yamunotri temple on the left bank of this river which was being constructed by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal and is located in Uttarkashi district. The location is famous for three hot springs near the temple. Out of which the Surya Kund is the most visited one. The kund is a tank full of boiling water into which the pilgrims dip raw potato and rice to get cooked and take them along as “Prasad”. A rock slab near the Kund which is known as “Divya Shiela” is also being worshipped here.

Shri Gangotri Dham

The sole element in the whole universe which can convert everything into a pious and virtuous object, and this holy element is the river Ganga which is being transcended to the Himalayan regions and the origin is so called the Gangotri. The Himalayan glacier from where this sacred river inflow is now being considered as the holy dham and people feel lucky to visit the Gangotri temple. The temple is situated at 99 km from Uttrakashi at the height of 3140 meters. The shrine of Goddess Yamuna was being built by the Gorkha commander, Amar Bahadur Thapa around 250 years ago. The Goddess Ganga absolved the sins of King Bhagirath’s predecessors by taking the form of river and since then it is being believed that this river washes away everyone’s sin and a holy dip to this river may take you to the path of salvation.  

Shri Kedarnath Dham

The Kedarnath temple is located at one of the Himalayan ranges in Uttranchal. The place is famous for the presence of one of the twelve jyotirlings (linga of light) which is a form of Lord Shiva. The Kedarnath Temple is about 3584 m above the sea level near the Mandakini River in Rudraprayag district. Kedarnath is also famous site of Shankaracharya's Samadhi. You will find an impressive stone edifice of Lord Shiva which is being visited and worshipped by a number of visitors every year.

Shri Badrinath Dham

One of the names of Lord Vishnu, Badrinarayan is being worshipped at Badrinath Temple. The temple is situated at one of the hills of Himalaya in district Chamouli at the height of 10,248 feet above the sea level. About two centuries ago the king of Garhwal made this famous temple which is enclosed by three sections called the Garbhagriha (Sanctum), The Darshan Mandap, and Sabha Mandap. You will find Garbhagriha as the abode of Lord Badri Narayan, Kuber (God of wealth), Narad Rishi, Uthavar, Nar & Narayan. The main image is made up of black stone where you will find the image of Lord Vishnu in a meditative pose.
