GigaTux Website Revamp and New Chicago Location

The main focus on the website is to allow users to find all relevant information easily without being overloaded with unnecessary information. Secondary to this is for the site to offer a visually appealing and exciting format. GigaTux, and its users, consider the Linux hosting services provided by GigaTux as standing out from the crowd with a major focus on the customer experience, and this is reflected in our website redesign.

GigaTux will, later in January 2012, offer its VPS and web hosting services in Chicago, Illinois, USA in Steadfast's data centre. This data centre was chosen after months of research and network testing, and we believe it will offer incredible performance and stability.

Our VPS services have been significantly enhanced and we are now proud to offer the following new services:

   * IPv6 in our Chicago, San Jose or Frankfurt data centres. We will provide you with a /64.
   * An updated selection of Linux distributions for VPS installs.
   * Extra customisable options, including SSD and multi-core access.
   * Payments directly via any major credit or debit card.
   * A choice of Linux kernels, including 2.6.32 and 3.0.1 (SLES/OpenSuSE variants by default, although any by request).
   * Daily, weekly or monthly backups, with incremental updates kept for a reasonable period of time.
