By: CSULA Public Affairs Results from the CSU Early Assessment Test indicate that students from underserved AAPI communities may benefit from additional assistance in the attainment of higher education. Open to students in 6th through 12th grade and community college students, the “Journey to Success” will feature workshops regarding how to prepare and pay for college, information on CSU requirements for admission and application processes, and information booths promoting CSU campuses and Cal State L.A. programs and student organizations. The outreach event--to be held in the University's Golden Eagle Ballroom--will also include free lunch, entertainment, special giveaways and drawings, hands-on class activities and demonstrations, and tours of the Cal State L.A. campus. “CSU staff, faculty and students are looking forward to the opportunity to welcome AAPI students and their families to the Cal State L.A. campus and provide them with vital information about a college education,” said Nancy Wada-McKee, assistant vice president for Student Affairs at Cal State L.A.
