Ware Malcomb Names Regional Vice President to Board of Directors

Jan. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Leading Design firm Ware Malcomb has promoted San Diego Office Principal Matt Brady to Regional Vice President. Matt also joins the firm’s Board of Directors.

Matt Brady, Licensed Architect and LEED Accredited Professional, originally joined the firm as a college intern in San Diego in 1989.  He re-joined Ware Malcomb as Project Manager in the Irvine commercial studio in 1999. In 2001, he relocated to re-open and manage the firm’s San Diego office. Matt received promotions to Director in 2003 and Principal in 2004. A Licensed Architect in the state of California and LEED Accredited Professional, Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with an emphasis in Environmental Design from the University of California, Berkeley. Matt has also been very involved in NAIOP, SIOR and the Baja Challenge home building charity over the past 10 years.

As Regional Vice President, Matt will be responsible for the Southwest United States and Latin American markets including Ware Malcomb’s San Diego, Phoenix, and Panama City office locations. CEO Lawrence R. Armstrong shares, “In addition to running our San Diego office for many years, Matt's responsibilities have steadily grown to include oversight of our Phoenix office, establishing our Latin America program, which includes over 150 projects in Mexico, and setting up and overseeing our Panama office.”

Matt shares, “I started my career with Ware Malcomb as an Intern in San Diego back in 1989, then joined the firm in 1999 for the opportunity to be involved in great design projects as well as for the excellent professional growth opportunities.  It has been exciting and rewarding helping our firm grow from 3 to 11 offices, including the expansion to international business in over 15 foreign countries.  But the best part has been working with great leaders and helping to mentor extremely talented staff.”
