Chamber of Commerce Renews its Financial Support in Brazil

Jan. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Since 2011, the Brazil-Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce and the city of Campinas, are making a concerted effort to facilitate the success of small businesses, and it was with this in mind that the chamber of commerce renewed its financial support to continue such important project in Brazil. The “International Business Clinic” will double its reach in 2012,  said BTCC President, Mr. Jefferson Michaelis during the Chamber of Commerce international entrepreneurship conference meeting.

Last year, Mr. Michaelis personally sat down with several small business owners to discuss practical situations, challenges of contemporary entrepreneurship, identify ways in which the Chamber of Commerce can assist in the continued viability of their businesses and expansion of their businesses abroad.

“The Brazilian economy is booming, and small businesses are the engine of job growth,” said Mr. Mario Andrate, who is attending the business clinic this year.

Last year’s participants meet at IBE Business Education in Campinas City where a selected group of local entrepreneurs and professionals who have participated in the program called: Team Brazil 2011 – Programa de Internacionalizacao de empresas de Campinas, said Mr. Rodrigo Hajjar, who works at the Secretariat of International Cooperation in the Mayor’s Office.

Like in 2011, the initiative aims to unlock the growth and job-creation potential of thousands of small businesses across key regions in Brazil through greater access to business education programs, mentors, networks and financial capital.  In practical terms, this project is also creating jobs in the United States, commented Mr. Rubmar Spironello with Sebao Mall, who attended classes,  and expanded his business in to the US.

The monthly meetings focus on the following: Marketing strategies, brand recognition, local preference, niche markets, Enterprise programs, the small business strategies, and ways in which small businesses can compete internationally.
