The Judges then culled through stacks and stacks of entries and chose the winners. Facing  many seasoned market contenders the likes of Gateaux inc., Sweet Retreat and others  the Judges found White Lace Cakes to be superior and thus..appropriately named Minneapolis/St. Paul's Best of the Best Diamond Award winner.  

  "The expert's comments regarding my wedding cakes were wonderful ", said Wright.  One Judge said "Romantic-Modern-Traditional -White Lace Cakes has it all". The expert panel found the one-of-a-kind- creations interesting and intriguing representations of the Bride and Groom's personalities and another expert added " a truly talented haven of artisans that are a master with some fondant and frosting".  But the accolades didn't stop there. When The magazine needed a photo in the layout for the Spring/Summer Features page, to announce the overall diamond awards, they could have used any of the category winners photographs and yet..they chose White Lace Cakes "Romantic Vintage" wedding cake with its crisp white textured icing and vibrant mix of nostalgic gumpaste flowers.
