The American College Of Phlebology Names Heather Durband Director Of Continuing Medical Education

The American College of Phlebology (ACP), the premier association for physicians and health professionals in the field of venous disorders, recently named Heather Durband Director of Continuing Medical Education.
 
Jan. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- San Leandro, CA – January 4, 2011 – The American College of Phlebology (ACP), the premier association for physicians and health professionals in the field of venous disorders, recently named Heather Durband Director of Continuing Medical Education.

Durband will ensure that the ACP’s educational programs, developed in conjunction with leading physicians and health care professionals in the field of phlebology, will maintain compliance with the standards set by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). In addition, Durband will guide the launch of ACP’s new online learning management system, augmenting ACP’s live course offerings with web-based CME.

Prior to joining the ACP, Durband was the Unit Coordinator in the office of Continuing Medical Education for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX, where she was responsible for providing CME accreditation supervision of Texas Tech University’s Amarillo Office of CME, Health.edu, and multi-campus regularly scheduled series. Durband also served as an administrator in the Department of Physician Services at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL where she directly developed an online Outreach Education Directory for the CME Coordinators, Medical Directors, physicians and healthcare professionals to access when needing speakers and topics to fulfill their institution's learning needs.

Heather holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health with an emphasis in Community and Environmental Health from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL.
