It's Sexy, Sporty And So, So Funny!!

My Voice Publishing reached agreement with journalist Tony Flood to publish his autobiography, provisionally entitled My Life with the Stars, launch date in March.

Jan. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Journalist Tony Flood's new book My Life with the Stars (Best, Ali and those panties) is to be published by My Voice Publishing, with a launch date in March.
Rex Sumner, the managing director of My Voice, says “Tony's revelations and anecdotes concerning many big name celebrities from Cher and Britt Ekland to Muhammad Ali and George Best provide a new look into their lives and characters.
“We believe that people are going to relish reading it. We all laughed at the story about sexy singer and actress Cher and the tale of George Best and the panties.”
Flood, whose book is due to be launched by My Voice (http://www.mvpub.co.uk) on March 10, comments: “I conducted some fascinating interviews with footballers George Best, Sir Stanley Matthews, Sir Tom Finney and Sir Bobby Charlton, boxers Muhammad Ali, Frank Bruno, Henry Cooper and Nigel Benn, golfer Sandy Lyle and tennis player Monica Seles. And I was Bobby Moore's boss at the notorious Sunday Sport.
“I've met many comedians in my time – among them men who actually intended to be funny such as Jimmy Carr, Harry Hill, Al Murray, Mike Reid, Frank Skinner, Frankie Howerd and the legendary Max Miller.
“Actresses include June Whitfield, Linda Gray from Dallas, Patsy Kensit and Britt Ekland, and singers number Petula Clark, Clare Sweeney, Max Bygraves and Anita Harris....the list goes on!
“Oh, and I've not mentioned my recent brush with royalty, have I?”
In addition to working as Controller of Information at Sky Television, Flood's career as a journalist over more than 45 years included an enjoyable spell as editor of Football Monthly, Britain's oldest football magazine. And he worked on the staff of national Sunday newspaper The People until September, 2010 when he finally retired.
Other journalistic missions saw him take dancing lessons from Strictly's delightful Erin Boag, with whom he got up close and very personal, perform as a stand-up comedian, and play football with George Best and Bobby Moore. Scoring a goal against a star-studded team which included Ossie Ardiles and Steve Coppell has got to be a highlight.
The most emotional story Flood ever wrote was when he obtained an exclusive interview with Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce Grobelaar after the Hillsborough disaster which was the deadliest stadium-related disaster in British history.
