Jan. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Companies seeking to bridge the distance to international possibilities have a connection with the new Volunteer Global Ambassador, Amanda Brown.

As  “Face of the World Trade Center Atlanta”, Amanda will be making connections between members of the World Trade Center Atlanta and her host cities in China, Spain, Colombia and Argentina. Through presentations that will showcase Atlanta businesses, the opportunity for growth, business etiquette differences between the diverse cultures, and introductions via a Virtual Trade Mission, connections will be established; enhancing the possibilities for international expansion and commerce for all members.

“The opportunity to establish connections between underserved small and medium sized companies is of utmost importance to stimulating world markets. I recognized the chance to assist and was excited to start building a new platform that will help bring people and companies together. As the ‘Face of the World’, I will help show the differences and similarities in the conduct of business. It will give those who follow my adventure an opportunity to learn even more about cultures and help to break down some of the existing barriers,” said Amanda Brown. “What I am seeking to accomplish goes beyond the typical trade mission, travel show, and trade magazine. I will be exploring each country, taking in-depth views into the cultures and exposing true life details and experiences.  Being based in each country for three months at a time, I will be living with local families, befriending local residents, experiencing the sites, and working and volunteering in jobs indigenous to each area. Really taking the time to get to know and understand the people of each country and its culture.”

“Amanda Brown is a remarkable woman – an Atlanta native no less - who has been an important local supporter of international culture and business, and the World Trade Center Atlanta, for quite some time.  As she sets out on her great adventure around the world, bringing to reality experiences that many only dream about, Amanda will serve as a volunteer ambassador for Atlanta, the World Trade Center, and the business, cultural and educational institutions that we represent.  She symbolizes the entrepreneurial spirit, sense of adventure, and caring for humanity for which Atlanta is so well known.  The World Trade Center Atlanta recognizes her desire to bring diverse peoples closer together, and we stand to benefit from her experiences.  Through the efforts of goodwill ambassadors like Amanda, Atlanta becomes an even more recognizable place where the business climate is shown in a positive light.” Said John Parkerson, “as President of the World Trade Center Atlanta, I applaud and endorse Amanda as ‘Face of the World Trade Center Atlanta’; and I wish our goodwill ambassador all the best as she undertakes her Big World Adventure.”
