Bend Company Webfoot Painting to Award $5000 in Painting Services to Family or Nonprofit in Need

Jan. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- BEND, OR, Jan 4, 2011 - Webfoot Painting Co would like to announce their 3rd Annual $5,000 Painting Charity Giveaway.  The Bend-based company will select one recipient in the Bend/Redmond area based on need and compelling story to receive $5,000 in free paint, labor and materials.

Last year’s winner was the Deschutes Children’s Foundation Rosie Bareis Campus on NW 14th in Bend.  The project went beautifully, but to cars and people passing by, things did not look like a typical painting project.  Caution tape surrounded the building, workers were wearing special suits and respirators, and heavy plastic was draped out around the whole building.  After Lead Paint tests came back positive for lead paint the scope and cost of the project grew considerably.  Extra precautions were required to contain the lead paint particles with fines for not adhering to these regulations starting at $35,000 per offense.  Hepp and Ulrich saw this challenge as an opportunity and decided to put on lead painting training clinic.  They followed the new EPA regulations by the book and delivered on provided the Rosie Bareis Campus with a seriously great paint job.  

Webfoot Painting will begin collecting stories of worthy recipients for the 3rd Annual $5000 Painting Charity Giveaway via their website on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012.   Once again, the entire Webfoot team will be providing their time, talents and resources using paint products donated by Sherwin Williams to freshen up and restore someone’s home.  Stories will be collected through the end of February with the winner being determined by a company vote in March.  The only criteria is that you have a compelling story of why you feel you or someone else you know and care about, deserves the free painting services.
