Managing Director, Josh Wood, explains a bit more about their recipe for party success:

“It's all about bringing people together whilst ensuring each attendee gets as much as possible in the pub crawl package – group power!” says Josh. He continues “For example, our crawls cost £15 – which includes entry to 5 bars, 5 free drinks (tequila, vodka, sambuca, rum etc), queue-jumping privileges and even a t-shirt with a free marker pen for people to write all over each other”.

Whilst it may sound like ravenous merriment, each event is actually highly controlled – with trained and sober staff in attendance to ensure that the group stays together, and that everyone is kept entertained.

“We've not cut any corners, and certainly don't just wave people off into the night and leave them to their own devices. We're fully insured and a close eye is kept on every member of the group” explains Josh. “The night we offer isn’t about drinking yourself senseless, it’s about getting people active and together in London – no more pre-drinking spirits in student halls of residence, or poor turn-outs of the same old friends, sitting in a corner of the same pub all night until close. Our guides are here to ensure that people have a good time, and that requires a responsible attitude, and one focused on people meeting new people, seeing new places.”

The company has enjoyed steady and successful growth, with an increase of 12,00 guests on 2010. 1 Big Night Out find that their clients come from all walks of life, including student groups, corporate clients and even just local Londoners who are game for a good time.

Even though his company is having as much fun growing as their clients do partying, Josh vows to keep his ears to the ground and focus on what's truly important:
